cooler months oil fired central heating is provided in the morning and

of
the cottage, and the seclusion of the setting, you may be confident of
a relaxed holiday.
Wake up to the sound of birds singing, get showered and dressed, take a walk and feed the waterfowl on our pond. Our stream which feeds the pond is a tributary of the Fowey River, and our pond is home to Mallard and Moorhen. You may even be lucky enough to see the turquoise flash of a very shy Kingfisher. Take a leisurely breakfast and contemplate the absolute tranquility that our rural setting bestows on you. There are woodland walks, and the Cornwall Coastal Path nearby offering a magnificent rugged coastline, and deserted sandy coves, which were once a haven for smugglers in days of old. The path leading to Lansallos beach still bears the evidence, as scars in the slate bed to the path where many trips were made by donkey cart to carry smuggled brandy and rum to local noblemen. Lansallos church has the grave of Robert Mark, the only local smuggler to be shot while fleeing the 'revenue men'. The tariff is £200.00 during November to the end of February (excluding Christmas and New Year), rising incrementally to £350.00 per week in August for two persons sharing.
